Two months after the Dallas guy was convicted and charged with homicide for killing his neighbors over dog shit, the victim's family is claiming compensation for taking care of the kids left behind.

The family of 31-year-old Michelle Jackson was shot dead after a months of ensuing fight with her downstairs neighbor. Michelle has now filed a lawsuit in civil court claiming more than $1 million for Jackson’s five children, aged between 1 to 12, and her mother.

 

The suit was lodged against Chung Kim, who is currently serving a life term without the possibility of parole for killing Jackson and her fiance.

Kim’s wife, the homeowners association for their apartment complex and its president are listed as co-defendants.

“These are very young children, and there are culpable parties,” said the family’s attorney, David Kane. “It’s my job to make sure that every stone is turned over to make sure they can recover something for their future.”
