Millions of people have enjoyed total solar eclipse on Monday through out the nation. People in Texas enjoyed it even though Texas got only partial view. The moon hindered the sun’s view by 75% around 1:10 p.m in Dallas.
As there was only75% coverage locally so it was hard to differentiate, there was too much sunlight to even glance properly. Many people watched it from parties at museums and parks like the Perot Museum or the Dallas Arboretum.
The Arboretum handed out 3000 eclipse glasses to its visitors, people waited in lights to get those glasses and many ended up sharing as there was crowd more than expected.
“It’s great for viewing the sun if you’ve got the filter on it”, we have got a solar filter on it, said Trey crook.
Many of the visitors said it was truly amazing to watch something like this.
“It’s so beautiful. When you really study it and really focus on it, you can actually see the outline of moon and then around there you see the rays of sunlight”, Hutchens a visitor said, “It’s a wonderful experience to have in any life time, I wish my grandson and grand daughter were here to watch it”.
“It looks like moon is biting the sun”, like a cookie, said a 6 years old little visitor.
America has witnessed this amazing view after 99 years and next total solar eclipse will be in 2024.
