Two of the three wounded in a gun shot incident in a west Oak Cliff home on Monday, have died.
The deceased, Ammy Soumphonphakdy (50) and Debbie Thammavongsa (18) passed away on Tuesday at Methodist Dallas Medical Center, Dallas. The condition of another victim, a man, remains critical. Thammavongsa was Soumphonphakdy’s daughter.
The incident took place at 5:35 p.m. on Monday, when two men wearing a mask barged into a home at the 2500 block of Western Park Drive, near Illinois Avenue and Cockrell Hill Road.
When police reached the home, they found the woman lying inside the front door with a gunshot wound to the head. Soumphonphakdy and the man were in the living room with gunshot wounds.
“Soumphonphakdy’s TV, camera, jewelry and other items were stacked on the floor near the front door like they were getting ready to be loaded into a vehicle,” a report states.
Homicide detectives are looking for a red Dodge Challenger in connection to this case.
